First step, surround yourself with friends, family, and good memories. Photographs are the ultimate personal touch and this custom wall art is quick, easy, and most of all cost efficient. Use your home computer to make enlargements or add creative effects to your favorite pictures. Take your memory card or USB drive to a photo printing kiosk to make high-quality prints in minutes. Get creative with several different style frames or use the same design for each print to create a more subtle atmosphere. Tip: Try black and white or high-contrast photographic prints to make an image more powerful.
Stop at a craft store for the next idea. Buy large square frames used for stretching canvas. Don't worry, you don't have to be Claude Monet for this idea, just good with a staple gun or a hammer and nails. Buy a few feet of fabric in a color or pattern that compliments your apartment's color scheme and stretch it around the wooden frames like a canvas. Use picture hangers including picture hanging hooks or picture hanging wire. Space them apart evenly next to each other in a horizontal fashion. This custom wall art will add a pop of color to bare walls and warm up (or cool down) a room for the right price.
Living is tight quarters? Mirrors create dimension and the appearance of a larger space. Put a large mirror on the wall behind a couch to open up a room. Chose a contemporary style with clean lines and brushed metals for a more modern space or a classic, antique design with tasteful beveling for a sophisticated flare. Tip: Remember to always be careful when hanging heavy wall decor. Make sure that you are using the right picture hanging system for the weight of the mirror.
Another great alternative to expensive wall art is off-the-racks stores and online auctions. Search the web and do some window shopping to get a good idea of what you're looking for before you buy. Never pay full price for anything. That's what I always say. CC

I already search wall art at some online auctions, but I still don't find that meet my need. Can you offer some online auctions that you can recommend to me?

Great ideas Courtney! Decorating with photos is such a brilliant way to add personality to a space. The photos you display in your home make your personality really pop to anyone that chooses to pay you a visit! Using a variation of colors of the same frame with a mix of horizontal and vertical photos could be a great way to add a collage to an empty wall. Best of luck!
